Summer Recital Highlights!
We had a blast!
MFAA’s Recitals last weekend were full of joy and happiness. Over three days, more than 450 students performed at the recitals, the highest number of participants in the history of Mississauga Fine Arts Academy. We anticipate even more for the upcoming Winter Recital. As we advance to our next chapter, we want to say BIG THANKS to all students, parents, teachers, and the front desk team. Thank you for your support and dedication. Your hard work did not go unnoticed.
As always, we are working on putting up videos of the recital on our YouTube channel. If you want to catch up with other performers or did not have a chance to participate this time, you’ll have an opportunity to watch all our recitals soon. Stay tuned.

Chamber String Workshop & Show – August 26
Summer Break – August 29th – September 4th CLOSED
Chamber Strings "Summer Birds" Workshop & Show
We are excited to announce, this summer, first time ever, MFAA Chamber Strings’ Workshop and Show followed by a Q&A session.
When: Saturday, August 26, at 6 pm
30 minutes of Workshop followed by a 30-minute performance.
Scope: This intensive presentation and performance will focus on the music of the summer season mastered and explored by our very own MFAA Chamber Strings Ensembles and conducted by Ms. Vira
Aim: Together we will demonstrate the creative process behind making music together; the unique creative exercises we have developed as a band and our complete prepared pieces of music which we have rehearsed over the past four months.
The students will be presenting music and sharing their newly learned experience and skills in making music in the band with friends and family.

Whether you are interested in participating next semester or are curious to try playing music with others – we are here to help! Parents and students will explore available options for our upcoming season!
We aim to inspire and empower students seeking to make music in a group through the unique communications skills experience. This program is for anyone who is looking to acquire fundamental skills for future performance opportunities in orchestras, chamber groups, and bands and for entry into college and school string programs.
Making music together helps students develop unique language with their group members and provides for collaborative skills necessary to pursue many directions in the future.
Join us on August 26 at 6 pm at the Mississauga Fine Arts Academy facility for an educational and fun event.
MFAA Faculty Concert Video is Life!
Our annual Faculty Concert occurred at the state-of-the-art RBC Theatre at the Living Arts Centre in the heart of Mississauga! The event presented a variety of musical genres and styles. The music, from classical to jazz, pop, rock, and even original compositions, was a treat for everyone. Every performer demonstrated high professionalism, style, and passion for music. We were delighted by our MFAA Chamber strings students’ group. The group leader Ms. Vira put incredible energy and style into the performance.
Seeing our students’ smiles and happy faces at the concert was great. Watching a teacher playing live is inspiring and especially important before students’ summer recitals as it motivates students to prepare for their performances. It was a truly memorable event that our students, parents, and guests will remember for a long time.
I want to express my gratitude and appreciation to everyone who helped us organize this concert and made this fantastic event happen. Every teacher, administrative team, parents, and students, everyone who supported us and came to the show, our guests, friends, and my family. Without you, it would be all impossible.

Student of The Month
Cassandra M!
We are excited to announce that our June 2023 student of the month is Cassandra M! Cassandra has been taking cello classes since September 2022 and is doing a tremendous job. Here’s what Ms. Jacey, Cassandra’s teacher, has to say about her wonderful achievements:
“Cassandra is an adult student, a full-time worker, and a wife but still balances her time to practice her music. With her commitment and resilience, she had her very first recital performance on her cello this summer. I really admire her determination, and it is great to see how much joy she finds in her new journey in learning music.” – Ms. Jacey

Many teachers are very popular and quickly become fully booked. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day, or time, don’t hesitate to contact us, and we can add you to the waiting list.
