Winter Recital Details and FAQs
As the winter season approaches, we’re excited to announce our upcoming Winter Recital at the Living Arts Center in the Rogers Theatre. With over 650 students participating, this event promises to be a showcase of exceptional talent and dedication. Here are some essential details and answers to common questions about the recitals:

Event Details:

Dates: December 14, 15, 16, and 17
Venue: Living Arts Center, Rogers Theatre
Timing: The recital will be held in multiple one-hour blocks spread over the four days, accommodating our extensive student base.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Q1 – How much do recital tickets cost? Can I bring guests?

A1 – Admission to the recital is entirely free! The hall we’re in seats around 100 people and seats are first come, first serve. Seating is limited, so please respect other people who may wish to bring guests.

Q2 – What should performers wear to the recital?

A2 – Performers can dress according to their comfort, but we recommend dressing nicely, especially since there will be plenty of photo opportunities.

Q3 – What time should we arrive?

A3 – We suggest arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled recital block. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and you may need to wait for the previous group to conclude before entering the hall.

Q4 – Can we take pictures during the show?

A4 – Yes, photography is allowed, but please refrain from using flash while students are performing. Don’t forget our hashtag contest – use #MississaugaFineArtsAcademy or #MFAARECITAL on social media for a chance to win exciting prizes! There will also be a red carpet outside the hall to take pictures as well.

Q5 – How does the stage setup work?

A5 – The Rogers Theatre features a theatre-style setup where the stage is at the front, and there is no backstage area. Parents can always see their children perform. Performers will sit in the front three rows, while guests can sit behind.

Now is the best time to start talking to your teachers about all of your options for the recitals! If you have any questions about the recital, need an accompanist (other than your teacher), or have any scheduling concerns, please speak with us at the front desk.

We eagerly anticipate your outstanding performances on the stage at the Living Arts Centre. Your talent and dedication continue to inspire us all. Thank you for being a part of our musical community.
