Timing: The recital will be held in multiple one-hour blocks spread over the four days, accommodating our extensive student base.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q1 – How much do recital tickets cost? Can I bring guests?
A1 – Admission to the recital is entirely free! The hall we’re in seats around 100 people and seats are first come, first serve. Seating is limited, so please respect other people who may wish to bring guests.
Q2 – What should performers wear to the recital?
A2 – Performers can dress according to their comfort, but we recommend dressing nicely, especially since there will be plenty of photo opportunities.
Q3 – What time should we arrive?
A3 – We suggest arriving 15 minutes before the scheduled recital block. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, and you may need to wait for the previous group to conclude before entering the hall.
Q4 – Can we take pictures during the show?
A4 – Yes, photography is allowed, but please refrain from using flash while students are performing. Don’t forget our hashtag contest – use #MississaugaFineArtsAcademy or #MFAARECITAL on social media for a chance to win exciting prizes! There will also be a red carpet outside the hall to take pictures as well.
Q5 – How does the stage setup work?
A5 – The Rogers Theatre features a theatre-style setup where the stage is at the front, and there is no backstage area. Parents can always see their children perform. Performers will sit in the front three rows, while guests can sit behind.

In this edition of the Student’s Corner, we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our exceptional talents, Paulo Y, who recently achieved a remarkable milestone in his musical journey. Drumroll, please – Paulo has successfully passed his Level 4 examination, securing an impressive high mark of 83%!
Achieving such a feat in the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams is no small accomplishment, and Paulo’s dedication and hard work deserve hearty applause. This milestone not only showcases his musical prowess but also reflects the commitment and passion he brings to his musical studies.
Behind every successful student, there is often a guiding force, a mentor who plays a crucial role in shaping and nurturing talent. In Paulo’s case, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to his teacher, Ms. Lesya. Her guidance, expertise, and unwavering support have undoubtedly contributed to Paulo’s success. It takes a special teacher to inspire and cultivate a love for music, and Ms. Lesya has proven to be just that.
Here is what Ms Lesya says about Paulo’s outstanding achievement.
“I’ve had the pleasure of teaching Paulo for more than four years. He has successfully completed RCM level 4 piano with first-class honor receiving an impressive mark of 83%. In 2022 Paulo won second place in the Peel Music competition. Such notable results attest to his devotion to excellence in striving to do his very best during his studies and performance. Being a hard-working student, Paulo has a remarkable musical memory, as well as a great sense of rhythm. Teaching such a wonderful and gifted student brings me personal joy. Wishing you all the best in your ongoing studies, Paulo! – Ms. Lesya
Paulo’s achievement is a testament to the thriving musical community we foster here, where students are encouraged to reach for the stars and achieve their highest potential. We take pride in celebrating our students’ accomplishments, and Paulo’s success is a source of inspiration for everyone in our community.
Congratulations, Paulo, on reaching this significant milestone! Your dedication and passion for music are truly commendable. May this achievement be a stepping stone to even greater musical heights in the future.
As we celebrate Paulo’s success, let it inspire each of us to pursue our goals with determination and enthusiasm. Remember, every note played and every hurdle overcome is a triumph in itself.
We wish everyone continued success in their musical endeavors!
