MFAA Chamber Strings Group Delights at Golden Kids Festival
On August 17th, 2024, the Mississauga Fine Arts Academy (MFAA) Chamber Strings Group added a touch of musical elegance to the Golden Kids Festival, a fun-filled community event in Mississauga. This community gathering provided a perfect backdrop for the young musicians to showcase their talents. The group, composed of dedicated students, was expertly led by Ms. Vira, a talented violin instructor at MFAA.
Amidst the games, food stalls, and cheerful atmosphere, the Chamber Strings Group captivated attendees with their beautiful melodies. Their performance included a mix of classical and contemporary pieces, which added a unique and elegant touch to the festival’s festivities.
This performance highlighted the students’ hard work and dedication and demonstrated the exceptional teaching and mentorship provided by MFAA’s faculty. The Chamber Strings Group continues to be a testament to music education’s power in fostering individual growth and teamwork among young musicians.

Highlights from the MFAA Chamber Strings Group Workshop and Show
On August 24th, the Mississauga Fine Arts Academy (MFAA) Chamber Strings Group, led by the talented Ms. Vira, delivered a captivating performance showcasing our young musicians’ dedication and skill. The event, which marked the culmination of an intensive workshop, was a resounding success and a testament to the hard work and passion of both the students and their mentor.
The workshop was designed to hone the students’ ensemble playing skills, with a focus on collaboration, timing, and musical expression. Under Ms. Vira’s expert guidance, the group worked diligently to perfect their pieces, learning not just the technical aspects of their instruments but also the nuances of playing as a cohesive unit.

Student of The Month
Rashane R.!
Rashane R., our Student of the Month, began his musical journey at MFAA in 2017 with piano lessons. His passion for music grew, and he later expanded his talents by taking up the French horn under the guidance of Mr. Andre. Rashane’s dedication and versatility make him a standout student in our academy.
“Rashane always comes to the school with a smile on his face and ready to learn. He is kind to all of those around him and never fails to make the front desk team laugh. He is a joy to have at the school and it has been heartwarming to see his musical growth over the years. Congratulations on your achievements, Rashane! We are so proud of you.” – MFAA Team.
