HOW THE SUMMER WORKS:
Each Spring we are often asked questions:
Q. “How do lessons work in the Summer?”
A. Many parents are looking for Summer activities for
their children. We ‘re glad to announce that the school
is open year round, and we do not close during the summer!
Q. “How full is the school?”
A. “As of today we are at approximately 90% capacity, and many teachers are
sold out between the hours of 4:00pm – 8:00pm
Q. “If we withdraw for the Summer, can we continue right where we left off in Autumn?”
A. Lessons are first come first serve, so if you withdraw for the Summer, we cannot guarantee that we will have a spot for you in the Autumn as we will open the spot to new students. As well, your progress on the Musical Ladder will be reset to the beginning.
Do you want to stay with the same teacher in the Autumn?
If the answer is YES there are 2 ways to do this:
1. Take advantage of our group make up lessons
We realize that some of you will go on vacation for a portion of the Summer. By signing up for the group make-up classes, you can make up all of your missing classes without having to withdraw from the school.
It’s very easy to do!
Sign up for a group make-up lesson at a time convenient for you by speaking with someone at the front desk. If you don’t know when you want your make-up lesson to be yet, don’t worry! Our group make-up classes do not expire, nor do they have any limit.
GET A HEAD START: You can start making up lessons for the Summer in advance.
2. Your can offer your spot to a family member or friend.
You can send family members or friends in your place for the dates you will miss. Just let the
office know who is coming in your place and when so that we can let the teachers know ahead of time.
Each September, we get calls from students who have been with us for years, but withdrew for the Summer. They want to return to the same teacher, day and time, but the spot has been filled by another student.
If you LOVE your teacher, keep your spot by using the make up classes or lend your spot to a friend!
First Ever Faculty Concert!
As time flies, we are getting closer to our BIG, first time ever, Faculty Concert “Sound Splash” on April 28th at the beautiful Living Arts Centre! Our teachers are delighted to perform for you and are working hard every day to prepare for this concert for all of you.
We are excited to announce that tickets are on sale for our students and friends exclusively until April 10th. With limited seats available we want to make sure that everyone secures their spots before they go on sale to the public.
We want to make things easy for you, so we’ll deliver all tickets to you right here at the academy. Take advantage of our early bird special and reserve your spot today.

Student of The Month
All of the teachers at our school feel so much pride when their students achieve success, so we love to be able to talk more in detail about some of our star students! This month, we spoke to Michael about one of his guitar students, Armaan, and how well he’s been doing in class. Armaan is 11 years old and is very hard working and motivated.
We asked Armaan a few questions about himself and this is what he told us:
What instrument do you play?: Guitar
How long have you been taking lessons for?: 18 months
What is your favourite song to play?: Lullaby No. 1
What is your favourite food?: Pizza
What is your favourite thing you’ve learned in class recently?: Andantino
What is your favourite colour?: Light Blue
We asked Michael to tell us about Armaan and this is what he told us:
Armaan has made a significant progress in his attitude as a student and has been working consistently striving to improve. I have other students who work hard but since Armaan has exceeded my expectations he has therefore earned his nomination.
Congratulations Armaan, you’ve earned this! We look forward to hear you play at our upcoming Summer Recital!

Many teachers are fully booked. If you need a schedule change or would like to be added to a waiting list for a particular teacher, day or time, please contact us and we can add you to the waiting list. There are still limited lesson spots available.
