Halloween Costume Contest
It’s that time of year again where the spooky skeletons come out, the lovely princesses show off their charm, and everyone has a lot of fun! This year we are excited to announce that our Halloween Costume Contest is BACK!
Come to class dressed up between October 28th – November 1st, the week of Halloween, and you’ll have a chance to win a $25 MOVIE GIFT CARD!
We also encourage students to come in on the 31st for Trick or Treating and we may have a surprise or two for you at the desk!
Student of The Month
Aditya P
As the school year starts up again, we see a lot of students that have spent their vacation practicing their instruments and perfecting their trade. This month, we spoke to Jack about his students, and he told us about the wonderful and amazing Aditya. Aditya is 11 years old and has proven to be a very talented musician.
We asked Aditya a few questions about himself and this is what he told us:
What instrument do you play? Guitar
How long have you been taking lessons? About a year and a half
What is your favourite song to play? Callino Casturame
What is your favourite food? Pizza
What is your favourite thing you’ve learned in class recently? The songs
What is your favourite colour? Red
We asked Jack to tell us what he thought about Aditya and this is what he told us:
“Aditya is a very hard worker. He’s always improving week after week. His optimism is outstanding, he’s excited to look at new pieces and exercises. Plus he’s full of fun stories from his week.”
Thank you for all of your hard work Aditya, and we can’t wait to hear you at the Winter Recital in December!

Teacher Appreciation Week!
Did you know that World Teacher’s Day is on Saturday October 5th this year?
In our lives, we have many people that teach us things: from school teachers to parents to doctors to– you guessed it, music teachers! We love all of our teachers at the Academy and hope that you do too, so why not share some of that love soon? From Monday September 30th to Sunday October 6th we want to encourage students to tell their teachers about how they’ve helped them grow and made their musical journey one to remember. Whether you make a card, draw a picture, write a poem, compose a song, or just say a simple “thank you”, be sure to make all the teachers in your life feel special and show them what they mean to you.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to all of our teachers at MFAA and we look forward to many years of working together!

Bring A Friend Week!
Here at the Mississauga Fine Arts Academy we LOVE to meet new people that share our passion for music! We also love when our students get to present their talents to their peers, so what better way to do that then to bring a friend to class?
From October 21st to 27th we will be hosting our Bring A Friend Week, where we encourage all students to bring one of their friends to class and experience music in all of its wonder!
And along with that, we’re also going to be doing a RAFFLE!
If you bring a friend to class during Bring A Friend Week, you and your friend will be entered into our draw to win a $50 AMAZON GIFT CARD!
As well, if your friend loves the lessons so much and wants to start their own, we’re going to give them a free $25 registration fee!
We look forward to meeting all of your friends on the week of the 21st-27th!
