5-year Grand Reopening Anniversary
It’s hard to believe that five years ago, we celebrated our Rebranding with a Grand Reopening.
Over the years, the academy’s success would not be possible without our great teachers, front desk team, students and parents. It is not just a company anniversary. It is a family anniversary that has defied all odds to grow strong and achieve great things together.
You are the reason why we are celebrating this special day in our academy. Growing from 300 students in 2017 to 600 students in 2022, we would not be where we are today without you as a part of our extended family.
Join us on November 11th from 4 pm to 7 pm and November 12th from 11 am to 2 pm to celebrate our 5-year Grand Reopening Anniversary. We are throwing a party for everyone with refreshments, face painting, an instrument “petting zoo,” demo classes, and more!
Attendees will also be entered into a GRAND PRIZE DRAWING FOR 3 MONTHS OF FREE LESSONS.
On this special day of our company anniversary, we want you to know that your support and trust have been the biggest drive toward our continued growth.
Thank you for inspiring us to do better over the years.

Halloween Costume Contest Winner
Every year we run our Halloween Costume Contest. Seeing our students dressed up and sharing their creative costumes is so much fun. This year we had an unprecedented number of students participating in our Halloween Costume contest. Check out our Halloween Costume Parade and see if you can recognize familiar faces.

Student's Corner - Jerick C!
We love recognizing our students for their outstanding achievements. This time we would like to highlight Jerick C’s achievement in passing the grade 6 RCM exam. Congratulations, Jerick, on your first-class honour, passing the exam with an overall mark of 80%. Here’s what Ms. Lesya, Jerick’s teacher, has to say about his wonderful achievements:
“Jerick C is a hard-working student, regularly performing in all of our recitals! He has just completed his RCM Piano level 6 exam and received a mark of 80%. We are currently working on level 7 RCM piano and are making quick progress. Jerick always comes to class prepared and ready to take on any challenge. I am very proud of Jerick for all of the effort that he has put in since starting his lessons with me in 2018.”
Congratulations Jerick! We are so proud of your achievement, we can’t wait to see what you do next!
New Program- Chamber String Group
Mississauga Fine Arts Academy has opened a new program; the “MFAA Chamber Strings” which is conducted by our award-winning violinist and performer Vira.
MFAA Chamber Strings is a group class with the aim to create a mature string ensemble here at the academy. Currently focusing on Violin, Viola, and Cello with potential in collaborative piano and other chamber instruments such as clarinet, oboe, harp, and guitar.
The class includes not only rehearsals for specific repertoire aimed for performances but also warm-ups, sight-reading, rhythm and breathing exercises, conducting and communication within an ensemble as well as contemporary musicianship techniques aimed at improving the group dynamic.
These classes are open to students who regularly take lessons for a minimum of one year on their instrument or had previous experience playing in group ensembles such as Duets, Trios, Chamber or other musical group settings. Student of The Month
Rackshita V
We are very excited to announce that our October 2022 student of the month is Rackshita! Rackshita has been taking guitar and piano classes since February of 2022 and is doing a tremendous job. Here’s what Ms. Alana, Rackshita’s teacher, has to say about her wonderful achievements:
“My student Rackshita has been really working hard to learn both guitar and piano over the last month. This month, she’s gone the extra mile by completing several practice challenges, and she’s put a lot of hard work and dedication into learning two challenging pieces for the recital at the end of October. She always goes above and beyond, and I’m so proud of her!” – Ms. Alana
We also asked Rackshita a few questions. Here are her answers:
What instrument(s) do you play? Guitar and piano.
How long have you been taking lessons? Since February 2022.
What is your favourite song to play? “He’s a Pirate” on piano.
What is your favourite food? Pizza!
What is your favourite thing you’ve learned recently in class? “When

What is your favourite colour? Pink, purple, and royal blue.

Every day at the Academy, we see new faces and get excited being able to see one’s love of music grow unconditionally. We love getting the opportunity to reward our students with different prizes for saying thank you!
