Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome—students, parents, and friends of MFAA! You don’t have to be a current student to refer someone. Invite a neighbour, classmate, coworker, or family member to discover the joy of making music.
How to Get Started

Thank you for being part of our MFAA family. We look forward to a week filled with music, friendship, and fall cheer!
Thanksgiving Day – October 12th, OPEN
Bring a Friend Week – October 13th – 19th
Halloween Costume Contest – October 25th – 31st
Winter Recital – December 12th, 13th, 19th and 20th

Bring some Halloween fun to your music lessons! We’re inviting students and teachers to show off their costumes for a chance to win prizes.
Students can win a Halloween candy bag in one of three categories:
Plus, enter our costume raffle! Every student who attends their lesson at the Academy wearing a costume will be entered to win a special prize! We’ll record the draw and announce the winner on Sunday, November 1.
Can’t wear your costume to your lesson? Send us a photo! Photo submissions are eligible for the three category prizes, but raffle entry requires attending a lesson in costume. Our admin and management team will select the category winners.
Teachers can join the fun, too! Our team will vote for the teacher with the Best MFAA Spooky Spirit, who will receive a Halloween basket filled with goodies, candy, and chocolate.
We can’t wait to see your musical, spooky, and creative costumes!

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding Royal Conservatory of Music exam achievements of our students at Mississauga Fine Arts Academy! Their excellent results reflect the dedication, perseverance, and passion they bring to their musical studies, and we couldn’t be prouder of their accomplishments.
The Royal Conservatory of Music program is one of Canada’s most respected and comprehensive music education systems. It helps students develop strong technical skills, musical expression, and a deeper understanding of their instrument. Preparing for RCM exams requires consistent practice, determination, and expert guidance, and our students have demonstrated wonderful commitment to their musical growth.

What is the Musical Ladder System?
At Mississauga Fine Arts Academy, we believe every student benefits from setting and achieving personalized goals. That’s why we use the Musical Ladder System—a unique, motivational program that celebrates students’ progress in music, just like karate belts or swimming levels.
With the Musical Ladder System®, each student receives a customized learning plan and is tested on their progress every 3 months for the first 18 months, every 6 months until their fifth year, and once a year after that. There are 18 levels in all, from Apprentice to Artist. Every level earns a certificate and a colourful wristband (students even get to choose between two designs), and major milestones, such as reaching Rock Star after one year, also earn a trophy.
This approach keeps students motivated and inspired, making learning music an exciting journey.
