Practice Challenge Corner
The practice challenge program is in full swing. We continue to showcase our students’ talents and recognize their efforts in everyday practice. Check out Boyi’s, Aya’s, Rita’s and Marcus’s practice challenge videos. Click on the pictures above to see the video.
We all heard the expression – practice makes perfect. Practice is essential when learning any musical instrument. The more we practice, the better our instrument sounds, the more confident we become, and the more fun we have playing our instrument. It takes time and a great deal of patience, but it is the most satisfying feeling ever when the song we worked so hard on finally takes shape and our instrument starts to produce a great tone. Here is where we start seeing the fruits of our harvest.
So grab your instrument today and start practicing regularly. In learning a musical instrument, the key is consistency. Spend 5 to 10 minutes daily and then gradually increase the time; the results will be obvious in no time.
We’d love to see and recognize our students’ progress. You can send us your videos via email at info@mississaugafineartsacademy.com, and we’ll celebrate your hard work on our social media platforms.

Referral Contest Winner - Jerry C!
Every day at the Academy, we see new faces and get excited being able to see one’s love of music grow unconditionally. We love getting the opportunity to reward our students with different prizes for saying thank you!

Student of The Month
Jingya W
We are very excited to announce that our August 2022 student of the month is Jingya W! Jingya has been taking violin and piano classes since 2017 and is doing a tremendous job. She recently started to learn the flute. Here’s what Ms. Anastasiya, Jigya’s violin teacher, has to say about her wonderful achievements:
“Jingya is a dedicated young violinist with a strong work ethic and potential to become an excellent musician in the future. She recently began learning RCM level 8 repertoire in preparation for her violin exam and a series of music competitions that are happening in the coming month” – Ms. Anastasiya.
.We also asked Jingya a few questions. Here are her answers:
What instrument(s) do you play? Violin, Flute and Piano
How long have you been taking lessons? I have been taking violin lessons since June of 2018, I have played piano since 2017 and I started playing flute just a bit after march break.
What’s your favourite song to play? “Sicilienne” and “Rigaudon,” by Fritz Kreisler.
What’s your favourite food? My favourite food is sushi.
What is your favourite thing you’ve learned recently in class? My favourite thing that I learned in class is “Sicilienne” and “Rigaudon,” by Fritz Kreisler.
What is your favourite colour? My favourite colour is light blue and teel.
Congratulations Jingya! We are so proud of your achievement, we can’t wait to see what you do next!
