We had a fantastic time meeting a lot of people at the annual Wellness Night at Chris Hadfield Public School! There were a lot of new faces and quite a few people that are currently attending our academy, and we hope that everyone enjoyed themselves at our booth. We had a lot of fun giving out prizes and telling people about the joys of music. As well, a huge congratulations to Diego for winning our grand prize draw of one month of free lessons! Click here to see our Facebook video for the grand prize draw.
Thank you to everyone that stopped by our table and especially to Chris Hadfield Public School, and we look forward to attending more Wellness Nights in the future.
Thank you to everyone that came out and had their pictures taken with our professional photographer! We had a blast watching all of you pose and bringing out your inner models. Complimentary photos were given out recently to those of you that took part in our event, but keep your emails open for more information about purchasing more of the pictures to give out to your friends and family.
The next picture day can’t come soon enough, and we hope to have even more people participate next time.

Are you very happy with your teacher?
Do you want to prove to your teacher and to the school how much your teacher means to you?
Then please let us know! In the near future we will be asking students to write a little something about their teacher and have a chance to be featured in an upcoming newsletter and win a $25 gift card to the movies! We love the teachers at our school and hope you do too, so let us know how you feel and make them feel extra special!

Throughout the year we’ve heard lots of students practicing diligently for their upcoming exams and performances, and now their chance to really shine is just around the corner! On June 9th and 10th we will be having our biannual recital at the Living Arts Centre! Friends and family are encouraged to watch their loved ones showcase their talents and have fun playing their instruments on stage in front of an audience.
If you have any further questions about the recital, please feel free to ask someone at the front desk or email us at info@mississaugafineartsacademy.com.
We hope to see you there!

What is the Musical Ladder System?
At Mississauga Fine Arts Academy, we believe every student benefits from setting and achieving personalized goals. That’s why we use the Musical Ladder System—a unique, motivational program that celebrates students’ progress in music, just like karate belts or swimming levels.
With the Musical Ladder System®, each student receives a customized learning plan and is tested on their progress every 3 months for the first 18 months, every 6 months until their fifth year, and once a year after that. There are 18 levels in all, from Apprentice to Artist. Every level earns a certificate and a colourful wristband (students even get to choose between two designs), and major milestones, such as reaching Rock Star after one year, also earn a trophy.
This approach keeps students motivated and inspired, making learning music an exciting journey.
